Bomba! Calabrese Style Chilli
For people who think chilli crisp could try a little harder.
BOMBA! is a punchy, garlicky, properly spicy Calabrese-style chilli oil from Adelaide legends My Grandma Ben.
It’s roasty. It’s oily. It’s garlicky. It has heat. And it has absolutely no intention of sitting quietly at the back of your fridge.
Spoon it over pizza. Stir it through pasta. Dollop it onto noodles. Add it to a stir-fry. Put it on eggs. Basically, if dinner is being a bit beige and disappointing, BOMBA! has entered the chat.
Made with dried red chilli, rice bran oil, garlic, balsamic vinegar and red wine vinegar, it delivers a proper chilli hit with enough flavour behind it to make you keep going back for another spoonful.
How to eat it:
- On pizza, obviously
- Tossed through hot pasta
- Over noodles
- Into stir-fries and sauces
- On eggs
- With anything requiring a swift kick up the arse

Geranium says: Keep one in the fridge. Give one to someone who puts chilli on everything. Do not give one to someone who describes sweet chilli sauce as “a bit spicy”.
Ingredients: Dried red chilli, rice bran oil, sugar, balsamic vinegar, garlic, red wine vinegar, salt.
Storage: After opening, refrigerate and consume within 3 months. See bottom of jar for best before date.
