This is Ottolenghi's Valencian orange roasting glaze, part of the Test Kitchen's first ever festive range. Yotam road tested it on his own Christmas ham while they were still developing it. So yes, it's been to Christmas before.

Sticky, glossy and very orange. Brush it on, roast, look smug.

How to use it

• Glaze the Christmas ham. Obviously.
• Brush over pork, duck or chicken before roasting.
• Toss through carrots, pumpkin or parsnips on the way into the oven.
• Spoon over roast haloumi for the vegetarians at the table.

The easiest way to look like you tried really, really hard this Christmas.
